My early journey into the world of neurology and what it might mean for me
Anxious, anxious, anxious, worried about Friday, I’m off to see a neurologist which is a little worrying as I feel like some of my symptoms when I see the consultant may not be apparent.
One of the most annoying and sometimes embarrassing symptoms is my tremor, I find it difficult to write and when my hand is outstretched there is a significant tremor which has been noticed my almost everyone that I meet.
I guess that I am worried that the neurologist may not pick up on all the things that I am finding disturbing. If I was to give myself counsel i would say ‘just be yourself and to not worry about things that have not happened yet’.
So as I have already mentioned the things that I am struggling with at the moment are:
- Anxiety
- Depression
- Confusion when tired
- Insomnia
- Agressive
- Ruth says that I am not the man that she married
So as the time got nearer and the more I read, that Trevor the tremor was not Parkinson’s disease, but I think that is due to the medication. I think I might be right. I was still worried as we had to actually go to another country to see the consultant.
I think that I shall let him decide.
So I had to make sure that the car was all fuelled up and I had seen to the matters of the toll roads and we were all set to go. Ruth came with me as we do most things together. Parking was good and we arrived in good time. We were not seen any earlier by out earlier arrival but the neurologist was running on time by the electronic board in front of us.
From us entering the hospital to us sitting in the waiting room there was no need to speak to anyone until we were called in into the consultants room.
I am going to leave it at that and just go so far as to say that things were running well and we I am going to leave it at that and just go so far as to say that things were running well and we had got there.

They treat a wide range of disorders, including strokes, epilepsy, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, Alzheimer’s disease, and migraines.
